Un-cooperative mother of JBM (vent)

Ok my niece is 7 but she is tall and looks like she is 11 so I didnt want to put her in a FG dress (but her mother wants her to be the little FG) so I picked out a DAvids Bridal JBM dress. I have told my nieces mother (soon to be ex wife of FBIL and an old frined of mine) where the dress is and that I will go w/ her to order it but she has blown me off for the past month! Now she knows someone that owns a dress boutique and she wants to see if they can give her a better deal. I know she is a single mom paying for everything herself (thats another story) but I spent tons of $$$ on her wedding and she should not be giving me such a hard time. The JBM dress is only $100. I spent over $200 on a BM dress for her wedding. She is not being fair and if she doesnt order it soon it is not going to come in on time. I am so frustrated!!

Anyone else getting no cooperation from people?

I would give her one week and then I become a little more adamant about it. I find it helps when you put them on the spot....is there a reason you dont want to order the dress? Is 100 too much to spend?...etc.

Can you just go to the shop? Maybe you will see something you like there. Hey, you never know. If you don't see something you like, then you still have the david's bridal dress.

Yes, I agree with Marc_Rai - indulge her...just this once because you need to get along with her and will need her cooperation. If you don't find anything you like, then go over to David's. And no, $100 is not a lot, actually FG dresses are usually much more expensive than that so I think it's a good deal. Good luck!

Thanks girlies! She said she will figure it out by this weekend. I would be a lot more willing to go with the flow with her but she has just been jerking me around for so long. I'm going to go with her to the shop this weekend but if she gets the dress from that shop it will be more $$$ because it will be a regular BM dress that will have to be cut down. I've tried to tell her this but she doesn't care.

These people stress me out!
