How does the add to notebook thing work?

I have been clicking the little notebook icon on the upper right hand side and it directs me to the home page..I assumed things were being added and I just looked and nothing is there@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after you click it, a red note should be on the top of your screen that says 'topic added to notebook'

is there anything in your notebook, under My Accoutn?

No...and I tried it several times. Do you click on it while you are in the post it self??
