I actually really have grown to love mine. It's the exact setting I wanted as a child (I am OBSESSED with diamonds) but once I got it I thought I would want it set higher...so glad I didn't because it looks beautiful with my wedding band being that it's set low...I also wanted a solitaire emerald cut...but 3 are better!

Hmmm, well I wouldn't say anything now. But on your anniversary you could possibly state how you love your ring, but that baguettes get snagged on things al ot and you wish you could get the same ring, but without the baguettes. Make it feel as if it's not his problem, but yours.

you are so clever. I love my ring. I admit it took some getting used to having a ring on my finger. FH explained to me exactly why he got this one for me. Are there rings that I look at that I think are beautiful, YEP! But, i love my ring because FH picked it out.

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?
Baguettes are great...and they can sparkle, just clean your ring as often as possible (warm water and a drop or two of dishwashing liquid...or 2/3 warm water and 1/3 ammonia). My ring is emerald cut (which is similar to baguettes in that the lights is reflected like a mirror as opposed to other cuts) and as long as they're clear enough (quality wise) and clean...they'll sparkle. Once you wear it with your band you'll love it...plus, round solitaires are so common and you're not a common girl!

I absolutely love mine. Even if it wasn't 'exactly' what I wanted, I don't think I would ever sit there and nit-pick over this and that. Its the thought that counts. JMO

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?
To be honest, FH and I designed our ring but every now and again i look at it and kinda wish we had done something different...the diamond is channel set into a tension setting but it's not high...doesn't really do the diamond justice. I love the fact that mine is one of a kind and completely unique but I think in ten years I'll have it reset.

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?
I know exactly how you feel. I'm overly picky and indecisive by nature so I still go back and forth on how I feel about my engagement ring. My fiance picked it out all by himself which I applude, however, I'm not sure if it's exactly what I would've chosen myself. It's a three stone ring with a radiant centerstone and radiant side stones on the side set in platinum. The diamonds are very sparkly but I sometimes wonder if the stones should be set higher and if the ring may be a little too simple. Then again, if he had chosen something too traditional or busy-looking, I would've found something to pick on...alas, I try not to obsess over it.By the way, my sister wasn't crazy about her ring so her fiance went back to the jeweler and had her sidestones replaced...she's much happier now. I say, change the sides if you're really not happy with the way they look. Your fiance would probably prefer you being happy with your ring than for you to remain disappointed with some aspects of your current ring.

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?
I love my e-ring-I had told my FH way before we got engaged that he'd better make sure the e-ring he got me was good because I was NEVER going to change it (his sisters all changed theirs and were talking about it at a family dinner once) I had shown him pics of what I wanted and his sister is a jeweler (so I made sure to tell her too!) She designed the ring off of pics I had shown my FH and I wouldn't change the ring for anything. But, if you are unhappy with your ring-maybe for an anniversary you can get it changed to a new setting you love?! I'm sure your FH just wants you to love the ring considering he probably spent a fortune on it! IMO most guys would rather you be happy with it than want to change it and not do it and wont be upset if you want to-they usually just want you to be HAPPY

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?
The one complaint I have about mine (which I think I am going to get ridiculed for) is that I think the stone is too big for the setting. The setting is high and the stone keeps getting loose!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to keep going to the jeweler to have it reset. I am thinking about telling FH I want a 1.5 carat instead because its starting to get annoying and I am afraid I might lose the stone

If it doesn't fit right and you could possibly lose the stone, can't the jeweler do something else besides reset it????

I love my e-ring most of the time!! Of course sometimesI wish the center stone was a little bigger, but aside from that it is exactly what I wanted!

I love my E-Ring! It's not what I thought I wanted, I wanted the baguets, but I have a classic solitaire setting that will never go out of style, and that I will always wear. The setting is cathedral, so that makes it not your everyday solitaire.

Re: Horrible Thing to Ask, but does anyone NOT like their E-ring?
I had my ring reset back in October. The stone he purchased was flawless but the setting wasn't showing it off right and it wasn't what I wanted.Don't be afraid to get it reset. My fiance is so happy now with the ring because it show cases my diamond so much better and because it makes me so happy.

I felt the same about my simple solitaire, but it does sparkle and I get loads of compliments on it. FH got me a sapphire and diamond enhancer and now I love it both with and without the extra stones![]()
