What do you think of this Centerpiece in Westbury Manors Manor Room???!!!!!
Keep a few things in mind:1) The center vase will be shorter so the filler doesn't show through
2) the surrounding vases will be a little smaller too--so the bunches of flowers look nicer around the branches
3) we're taking out the purple, and putting in some orange unique roses
4) there will be a few more votives in there
5)are the 5 vases full enough you think?
***any feedback appreciated
Also, from babybride (thanks) Im putting a picture of the room -
do you think the *votive* look will look OK
for a day reception...the room has dark wall and isn't too bright to begin with.
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally love it and think that it's a great idea considering you have the long oval tables...plus each couple can take a vase home (I'm guessing this is what you're going after)...I think the vases are full enough. It looks really nice and would look lovely for a daytime wedding because the branch detail will be much clearer.

What do you mean by a lot? The Center branches or the outside vases?
I'm thinking that b/c the table is oval I can get away with it.
I actually am requesting everything to be made down one size (not as tall center vase) and the surrounding vases will be smaller.
I like that the flowers are breakaway and everyone can take home rather than one.
I appreciate your honestly, but I really felt that it could work...

IMO the CP is too much. I think it is too large and sort of awkward looking . . . sorry.

Well depending on the amount of people you have...those tables get JAM PACKED. With plates, bread plates, bread baskets, like 3 glasses per person, butter dishes, table number, peoples cameras. From experience I saw those tables fill up mighty quick. It is a nice centerpiece...but I think a little busy.

Re: What do you think of this Centerpiece in Westbury Manors Manor Room???!!!!!
Im getting married there too in the Manor Room, and I am familiar with the dark tones in the room and the oval tables BUT I think its too much. Branches up top with votives and on table and then bunches of vases with flowers on the bottom, I would put the flowers just around the 1 vase ( they can do it Im sure) instead of all these extra vases, cut out the votives on the bottom and scatter very few petal around just on the sides and extend to create a visual that the CP is elongated. I would not put petal in a circle. What kinda of look are you going for? b/c youre mixing the bare branch look with flowers on the bottom it has a backward affect. Its def different if thats what your going for.

I really like it! I think the branches look really cool. Are you using a florist who is familiar with Westbury Manor? Maybe ask their opinion about how much will fit on the tables (if you are concerned with it).:)

Re: What do you think of this Centerpiece in Westbury Manors Manor Room???!!!!!
The attached pictures the the look I was trying to achieve. We took these pictures after my mother and I mettled around with everything. Also, the surrounding vases look close than they appear.
Also, we will scatter petals in the middle of the table with votives (not so in the middle) on either side of the setup.
The centerpiece as far as height is concerned stands about average to the typical pedestal with flower arrangement on top...however...I want that fall feeling and the votives hanging throughout looked really pretty in person.
I know its very different but I fell in love with it. Any suggestion to make it look more like these pictures...
(remember, like I said, we are taking the size of everything down one notch too)

Just my opinion, but those centerpeices look like they are more for an evening outdoor wedding. Just too much for the table.

Re: What do you think of this Centerpiece in Westbury Manors Manor Room???!!!!!
The pictures above were really the only centerpieces I liked from the getgo.I mean, having your pedestal with flowers at top would be what you see at many many weddings.
I was trying to go a little different and I thought that these pics taken at tribecarooftop stie were so pretty.
This particular florist used curly willow...do you think that in the example pictures the florist used branches instead?

this is kind of funny because I have gone to 3 florists now and have priced them out...for this CP only....if i had to start over, I wouldn't even know exactly what i would want :(

Re: What do you think of this Centerpiece in Westbury Manors Manor Room???!!!!!
There is so much going on. I think it is too cluttered looking. I also love the original picture you are basing it on. In fact, I planned on doing it for my own wedding. I think that the branches may block people's view around the table (can't talk). Also, I think that there are too many colors with the flowers. You got the branches, the votives, the petals, then all these multi-colored flowers. I think I would stick with the same or similar colored flowers. Also, I would definitely make the small vases smaller. I also don't like the pebbles in the big vase. Again, its one more element. I would want something less noticeable.

Re: What do you think of this Centerpiece in Westbury Manors Manor Room???!!!!!
It looks like branches. Maybe try a sample with that- the green from the curly willow could be whats throwing it off too. My CP is very high with very tall calla lillies with branches and Im not sure what the name of the flower is also in the vase but its a drooping flower in a purply color to give a contrast and take attention away from the vase. The branches are a great idea, I think its too busy on the bottom.

Yeah, I wrote above that the center vase is going to be about 6 inches smaller and the surrounding vases will be about 3 inches smaller too...
I'm going for fall themed colored flowers and have berries in there with orange unique with (cinnamon=leonidas) and white hydrangea with a little filler.... I thought after taking the PURPLE OUT it would look nice!!~!
