I'm going to call the florist and ask for another sample

After some thought and talking to my MOH
we came up with this:

try branches in stead of DENSE curly willow

once again bringing the center vase down like 5 inches

and having the surrouding vases a little smaller but so that the bunch comes up to the top of the center vase

if you look in the example pics it's not so dense and the whole thing is much smaller

i wonder if branches can be used to do this.

i'm kinda stressing b/c i want this look but i don't want to book a florist until i'm sure this can be done the way I see in that picture.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I still feel the same...I love it...think it looks very nice and that original picture (where the idea came from) is one of my faves. Would definitely work in the room. It's elegant, different and beautiful. But that's just my opinion...go with what makes you happy! Visualize the room, imagine the pictures, what do you see?

I really like the original picture. I agree with you, if you take away the dense curley things and put branches instead, it may look good.

Also, I don't know how it will look exactly, but what if you went with a tall centerpiece? That way, the trees would be above the eye level of guests and wouldn't bother them, and the tree would almost be hanging over them, like a willow. Than, at the base, the flowers will look pretty.

I don't really know how that will look, but its an idea to try, perhaps?

:) thank you :) actually the centerpiece itself is pretty high which is good b/c it allows guest to see each other ... i just wanted the branches to , instead of shooting straight up, start out lower in a lower vase and branch out more...but now I'm thinking...would that prevent people from seeing each other?

okay, did you take into consideration the changes I wrote about - downsizing it, taking away the rosepetals, making it smaller and less dense, just votives in between to add to the light????

is anyone reading about my plans for changing it or are you just looking at the pics and responding to that.

wooo, I would think to take it down a notch if you ask for opinions and someone gives you one. why dont you post what you really want instead of revising it so much to give us a better understanding of what you want an opinion on. just a thought

Sometimes it would be a good thing! I know!
But I do think that you should have taller centerpieces and, like you said, branches come out instead of straight up. I think that will work great. Perhaps they can just get longer branches to accomodate?

Yes I def recommend Pedestals, WM rec's them and they are familiar with the room. Its worth a shot.

I went with tall about 3 feet high vase called a champagne glass with long stem calla lillies like around 25 of them- it was a lot, with very few branches and then white ( original purple- when I saw sample CP didnt like it and dummy me forgot my camera- rahhhhhhh) dendros they are orchids that droop out from the neck of the vase and votives and orchids on the table. I went high so the guest can see eachother since they are long tables. My original idea was to do the feather CP but couldnt find anyone to do it the exact way I wanted it. I was going crazy went through so many books of pictures of florist for the WM and fox hollow it was a nightmare I feel your frustration lol.
