Bridesmaid dress question

i am looking into BM dresses this week, and was just browsing the jim hjelm site. i've decided that i want to just pick the material and color and have each BM choose her own dress.

do you think it would look bad if some BMs chose tea-length dresses and others chose full-length? i really like the tea-lengths for my younger bridesmaids, but maybe my adult ones would choose a full-length... i don't know if that would look okay.

opinions? thanks

Re: Bridesmaid dress question

That's a tough one. Are the younger BMs junior BMs? I've never seen pictures of this, so I'm not really sure how it would look. My gut reaction is that I would do all the same length unless maybe they are junior BMs. JMO.

I agree.....I am opting to possibly do the 2 piece seperates. I am thinking I would pick the color and the skirt and they would have the option to pick the top out of the ones I pick (a selection).

Still trying to figure out yes or no with this though.

But definitely keep the same length, I don't think it would be nice in a photo w/ different lengths. JMO also.

Re: Bridesmaid dress question

I think it would look really nice for juniors to have tea length and the rest full length, they may even like that themselves. Again, I think its nice you letting them chose their own dresses especially if they are as wide a part in opinions as mine are

Re: Bridesmaid dress question

I think that it would look better for all the bridesmaids to have the same length dress-if the young ones are Junior Bridesmaids than it would look ok to have tea lengths. That is JMO

Re: Bridesmaid dress question

thanks to all of you for your opinions... i think i will probably go with all one length or the other for the bridesmaids, and we'll see about the junior bm and the flower girl...

going tomorrow to here comes the bridesmaid - wish me luck

Re: Bridesmaid dress question

JMO it is perfectly fine to have them all in a different dress as long as they're the same length
