Where is your BP getting ready? Repost from BHB
I am trying to coordinate times for our wedding day. I will be getting ready at my parents' house, and my FH will be getting ready at his. We are having Duet come to each house to take pics, and then we are all taking pics together (both families, BP) at the Watermill before the ceremony.
I am trying to decide where the BP should get ready. Do they usually come to the parents' house or meet you at the reception site? I really don't know what to do! Help?!?!

My wedding is a little different because I am staying at East Wind the night before. But the wedding I was in, we all met at the parent's house and got ready there.

I'm planning to book a hotel suite near the ceremony and have my girls get ready with me together the day of. They'll probably stay at the hotel the night b4 anyway. Hopefully we won't stay up all night talking!

Thanks for responding everybody! I am trying to coordinate everything because my vendors are starting to ask for times from me. Do you think it would be unreasonable for me to ask the Watermill if we can get there at 3, 3:30 if my ceremony doesn't start until 6:30? It's a Friday.

It depends upon the other bride that night. If her ceremony starts at 6 pm she gets first priority on time to take pictures etc. I had this delimma with the Watermill when I originally booked for Sunday July3rd. I would have been the third bride and would have had to take my pics in the middle of my reception so I picked to be the first bride on another day.

All of my girls are sleeping with me at my parents house. We are all going to get ready together and then go to Majestic Gardens together  we are having a slumber party!!

They're getting ready at the hotel with me. My mom's staying there the night before as well so we'll have the 2 rooms to travel back and forth between - mine for the hair and makeup people, hers for the food and dressing.

We're all staying at the Marriot the night before (after the rehearsal dinner) and we're gonna get ready togther the day of the wedding in my room....I don't think it would be as fun if my bridal party wasn't there as I was getting ready....

all of the BM's are getting ready at my parents house with me. My 3 sisters live there, and then 2 of my friends are sleeping over, and then one of my friends and my cousin is coming over that morning.
FH and his groomsmen are getting ready at his moms or at our apartment.

I have a big problem with this, my mom really wants us to get ready at her house, BUT First of all they have a dog, and my allergies get really bad, and SECOND, my mom smokes, I really don't want my dress and everything picking up that odor. I want to get ready at my aunts house (her sister) but I don't know how to tell her without hurting her feelings!

my wedding is late, so I'm going to probably check-in to our honeymoon suite around noon, then I'll have my girls met me there to get ready.
The only other option would be to go all the way to my sister's house in Westbury and get ready there, then drive all the way back to Ronkonkoma. I think that'll just be a PITA, so the hotel might work out nicely, especially since most people will be staying there the night before, b/c they'll be here for rehearsal.
