Gift for 16 yr old boy?

It's my little cousins 16th birthday & his mom is having a party for him at their house on Saturday. Other than money, what do you think would be a nice gift for him?

Does he have any hobbies?

I don't know what kind of video games he likes, or even what system he has for that matter & I know he's into baseball & football, but not quite sure what I can get him that's sports related....

Get him a gift card to the mall. Then your not giving him money, and he's buying himself something he wants.

Ditto! My brother is 15, and he would always prefer mall money that he can spend himself.

I'm 29 going on 30, and I'm the same way. I rather have money or a gift card. Why waste your time buying me something, and risk the chance that I might not like it.

I teach high school and when I ask them what they want for gifts they alwasy say money or a giftcard.

Unless he has expressed a specific thing that he wants I'd say giftcard. Be careful with individual stores unless you knw the kid goes there a lot. They are very particular these days.

my brother is going to be 16 in a week....i have to say, cash is the best thing to give kids....they can use it wherever they want...or if you dont like cash...how about an american express gift card......kids dont like to be help to one place...

Could you ask his mother what he'd like? My brother's 16 and the only things I ever get him are CDs, DVDs etc.

You can do a visa or amex gift card- that way, they can spend ANYWHERE and they have a little credit card to put in their wallets.

For a 16 yr old boy I would definately go with a giftcard or cash-they can be difficult to buy for and would appreciate the giftcard so they could pick out something they really want-Good Luck
