My Bridal Shower w/ link to pics

My Shower was so much fun! They did a really great job!!

It was at Sergios in Massapequa. The food was REALLY good! My mom paid for the place which was so nice of her! We got soup, salad, pasta & an entrée. Then coffee/tea.

I have 2 MOHs- my sister and my Best Friend. MY BF had such beautiful invitations made up! And the games she found were so much fun! My Sister made a wishing well out of a laundry basket, tulle, and flowers (it was a holiday theme) and my favors (cookie cutters). They did so much stuff I couldn't believe it!

Since I love Sleeping Beauty and Disney so much, they found a place to make the castle cake for me and got me a Sleeping Beauty Tiara to wear. I have to say that the cake was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had! It was so moist! Thank goodness I have some sitting in the fridge for later! YUM!

Some of my Jr. BMs put together something old, new borrowed & blue for me.
Old- a donkey kong sticker that I gave her when she was little (she’s 16 now)
New- a shiny new penny
Borrowed- a bible verse (my favorite one) and ribbon
Blue- the organza bag for it all to go in

My FG wanted to help so much (she’s almost 3). She’s too cute!! She kept asking me “What can I open?” So for certain gifts I was afraid to give her anything because I wasn’t sure what it was (might not be child appropriate). I had to be careful!

Her sister (a Jr. BM- 6yrs old) was helpful also. Everytime I opened something from her, she stood in front of me to watch and after I opened whatever it was I said “Thank you so much” and gave her a hug. Now this girl is NOT shy, but when I did this she got shy (maybe in front of everyone), but still gave me a big hug.
In my scrapbook she wrote 'Dear Aunt Denise, Congratulations! You're the best Aunt ever. I hope I do good in the wedding. I love you. I hope you live happily ever after like the disney princesses.' How cute is that???

I’m so thankful that I have so many people who love and care about me. Everything was so wonderful, but went so fast! A bunch of people couldn’t come (like OOT and some others), so I think including kids there were 22(?) or so. I couldn’t believe how many presents were there as compared to how many people! I had to get some water when I was ¾ of the way through opening them. It’s HARD WORK!

Thanks for all your well wishes yesterday! You girls are the best!

ETA- I was so touched when I found out that the gifts my nieces gave me (ages 12, 14 & 16) were all with their own money! My sister told me over the phone and it made me cry! Money is so hard to some by at those ages and for them to spend it on me meant a lot!


AND My SIL did all the CPs! They were gorgeous (as usual), and she also made my corsage! Everyone wanted to take home the flowers!

well I have to admit that for the first time since I have been here on LIW (8/04) I got a lil tear jerker...
THat was so special that ur nieces saved their own money and brought you a gift! THey are very thoughtful! It's so great to have a loving family!
