Re: Pier 1 is having that bedroom sale on a set I like- questions?
They deliver. We happened to be out in Riverhead because we wanted to go to the Pottery Barn outlet. We went into Pier 1 and decided that we liked a set, so the woman at the store called the store in Flushing to see if they had all the pieces. They did, so we ordered it through that store but it came from Flushing (and sooner than promised, too) I was quite impressed with their customer service- I also saw end tables that I liked, but they were clearance and the person in the store was willing to call wherever we were willing to travel.I wouldn't worry about calling a store, if they don't have it in stock I bet they will track it down for you.

Our BR furniture is from Pier 1. They delivered and we were very happy w/ their customer service. One of the pieces the local store only had the floor model which I did not want. They called another store and that piece was shipped from there. There was a delivery fee.

Our bedroom set is from Pier One (the Rio Grande Style). They do deliver, but there was a fee, so we just picked everything up at the store because Phil has a pick-up truck.Which style are you looking at?

We have that set too. I love it.I can't remember what the delivery fee was, maybe $100 or so? But for us, taking it ourselves was not an option- we are in a fourth floor walk up and I just was not doing it! Luckily DH agreed. Even with the fee, we saved a lot b/c it was on sale and DH opened a charge for more $$ off.

We couldn't afford to buy all the pieces at once. So we bought the pieces over a year's time.
First we bought the head board and end board, then the nightstands, then the 7 drawer dresser. So, that is why we could put it the truck, because we bought one piece a time.
I just looked on the website, they are having some great sales on the Rio Grande line.

Re: Pier 1 is having that bedroom sale on a set I like- questions?
we have the rio grande set as well (queen bed, dresser, 2 night stands, trunk, entertainment center and mirror). we brought home the smaller pieces and had the larger ones delievered. i think the fee was around $50-60. the poor guys had such a hard time carrying the pieces up the stairs so we tipped them $20. i love the set and have no complaints. this may sound odd, but we use the truck as a hamper. it is really deep and clothes are out of sight.we will be moving (hopefully) in the next couple of months and unfortunately will not be taking the larger pieces (EC and dresser). i can't imagine getting it down the stairs again.
