'they' say 6 months but I would do it as soon as you can afford it!

Re: Time frame to book...
I booked mine in December (beginning of) for my May HM. I'm glad I did because I got an 'early booking' bonus and the airfare has gone up since then. I only had to put $300 down (love my TA!) and the rest is due 10 days prior. As long as you know where you want to go and for how long, I would start researching rates.

Re: Time frame to book...
We booked ours in January for July and the travel agent said that was cutting it close....also we originally were going to do a cruise but the good rooms were gone on the one we wanted....so I would say as soon as you can but by 6 months!

Re: Time frame to book...
If you are going out of the country, I would say a year. It never hurts to book early, if you are sure. Sometimes you can get the present rate for the next year, instead of the higher one.

Re: Time frame to book...
I'm actually looking into it now & we're date twins!! We're going to Hawaii. The thing is I already booked airfare since I am using frequ flier miles. So that is done. We just need hotel, car rental, inter-island flights. But I still don't want to get shut out of a hotel because they are booked. You should research now.

Yes and if you want one of the more upscale rooms, they book quickly as well. My travel agent has been great. He held the rate for us in ncase it goes up, but also if it goes down, he lets us know and gives us the lower rate!
