Teachers...is anyone looking for tutoring jobs?

I get a TON of phone calls to tutor kids. I tutor almost all ages in Spanish, reading comprehension, study skills, grammar, math elementary through high school, SAT prep, etc, so I get a ton of phone calls from people who got my number from current students, but I'm totally maxed out on time, so if anyone wants students to tutor, let me know. I tutor in Smithtown and St. James, but I've been getting phone calls from people as far as Plainview who are willing to come to me, so I'm sure they'd be willing to come to you, too. How much do you charge an hour? I was going to do SAT tutoring through Kaplan that pays $26 an hour...If this is more that would be great...But I am not a teacher...

I charge 40 an hour. I am a music teacher, not a secondary or even elementary teacher, but I feel like working one on one with kids, you can see how they process information, then you can adapt the material to their learning needs. So as long as you feel like you can do that, then I would say go for it. I got two phone calls this week already for SAT prep. I tutored a lot of kids last year for the SATs, also.
