Cleaning Coach bags

How do you clean your coach bag. I have the tan bag I think it is called the signature somehting. I got it a couple of years ago and It is so dirty because of the tan.

Someone told me to take it to the cleaners? Any ideas.

Thanks

Re: Cleaning Coach bags

Is it leather or is it a material?? Maybe Coach sells something that you can buy to clean it.

I don't know if you want to try this but, I have a cream wristlet with black leather on the bottom corners...it got really dirty, so I just threw it in the wash..surprising it came out clean and not damaged!!

Re: Cleaning Coach bags

If it's material, you can clean it with ivory dish soap and water. Wash in circular motions. I have a white one from last summer that got dirty and they told me to clean it that way. I heard that you can send it to them to clean...not sure if that is true though.

Re: Cleaning Coach bags

I just went to the coach store. It is material with the lather on the bottom and sides. She said not to touch the leather and just get a washcloth with liquid ivory soap and clean it with that or an unscented baby wipe- again not touching the leather. I do have the leather cleaner, Im going to try that too.

Thanks girls

Re: Cleaning Coach bags

I thought the Coach store would clean it for you? I know my mom has dropped off her bags to be cleaned in the past.
