My fiance and I have our first photographer interview/appointment tomorrow. Any advice out there for us?
Thanks!

Re: First Visit with a Potential Photographer tomorrow - any advice?
Ask about: -the camera: digital, 35mm or medium format -color, black and white, or a mix -how much for photoshopping/edititing, or is it included? -what style will they take, traditional, portrait, photojournalistic? -will they follow a "must take" list that you want? -how many hours of photos will you get? -is there a limit to the # of photos he will take? -what is the minimum # of photos? -how many locations will they travel to? -will you keep negatives/image files etc? -what kind of albums (if any) -how many pics in album, how many different sizes -will you get proofs? -are proofs marked?
Hope this helped.

make sure you ask if the pictures they are showing you were taken by the photographer that would be shooting your wedding.

I would make sure you go in with an idea of what things are important to you. The Soho albums are very expensive. Yes, I think itis very important to see albums by that particular photographer. If they don't have one I would question it. Every place will TELL you that their photographer is good. The proof is in the pudding. Do you want an engagement shoot? Do you want a package? Do you really need a millioin wall portraits? How many photographers? Ask for an assistant.

Re: First Visit with a Potential Photographer tomorrow - any advice?
something that i like to look for is if the albums they are showing you are from one wedding or not...my personal photographer peeve is when they show you a sample album with a bunch of different brides in it! To me, an album should tell a story, and how do you know if that photographer covered the entire wedding well or not if you are just seeing a montage of their best work... i hope this makes sense...

Make sure you like the photographer, not just his/her work. You'll be spending all day with them. I saw two yesterday, the first one we just clicked with, the second, one not as much.
