2 1/2 week old kitten - needs home

Hey everyone,

So, someone I know found a 2 1/2 week old kitten and cannot keep it. I am going to take it b/c no one else will. No one will take this kitten including the cat shelter a work for ( they lost their lease and need to find a new location). If anyone is interested in taking this kitten, please contact me. She is white with black spots and blue eyes. As of now, she still needs to be bottle fed. She was also abandon by her mom and is not eating much,so I am bring her to the vet tomorrow, to have her checked out - just to make sure she doesn't have any serious issues. Please understand that babies this young cannot be tested for FHIV or Feline leukemia, b/c they still have moms anti-bodies -so they cannot be near any other cats (I have 2 cats and a dog, so imagine what my life is going to be like). You cannot safely determine these disease until the kitten is 3 months of age. Also, I will not just give this kitten to anyone, please understand that you will need to meet with me first. bump....i have 2 kittens that I recently adopted...stories like this break my heart...i wish i could take it!

OMG I so wish I could take it but DH is allergic. Did u try bideawee (sp?) in wantagh???

aww, we've been thinking about getting another cat but we were gonna wait till after the wedding. We have another cat ... he's pretty old and just stays in his room (yes, he has his own room! lol). I would definitely consider it but I read what you said about it being around other cats .. although I have had cats my whole life and the vet never said anything about my tiny ones not being around others. I hope all works out!!!

wish i could take her! but i already have a rescued kitty!

honestly--i bet your vet would take it. when i brought my little Lucky when he was like 3 wks old to the vet to have him checked out, after finding him abandoned in my backyard.....all the vet tech's were like 'We'll take him....just leave him here if you don't want him!'

the vet will probably be your best bet, cause at 2 1/2 wks. old they need such special care!!
