I'm pretty sure you can rent one at Party City.
At my shower the girls got a hamper for the baby's room and used that as the "wishing well" It worked out well and I use it everyday!

Those rentals can be kinda gross and old...just decorate a pretty hamper, laundry basket or you can use a toy box...that is what I did for my friend's shower.

I agree....my relatives actually used a laundry basket which was fine, but the hamper is very cute! That way whatever you make it out of will still be useful.

For one of my showers (I had a NY one and a PA one) my SIL made me one out of a hamper that was nice... You can see it in this picture.
