Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I don't think its too early but there are things to consider if you get one now:-are you sure you won't find another one you like better?
-are you sure you won't get a better deal somewhere else?
-where are you going to keep the dress?

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I would go now to get a sense of what you like! If your anything like me, I would get everything done asap. If you do find 'the one' stop looking or you may question your choice!!

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I don't think it's too early. Some girls have purchased their dresses already. Many dresses take months to be ready anyway. Personally, I'm going to try a dress I've had my eye on next week, if I like the way it looks I'll buy it then.

THANKS FOR THE HELP, I HAVE FELL IN LOVE WITH A DRESS (IN A MAGAZINE) AND JUST HAVE TO FIND IT AND TRY IT ON. I KNOW ONCE I TRY IT ON, I'M SURE I WON'T LIKE IT BUT AT LEAST IT WILL GET OUT OF MY HEAD. I'VE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT IT! ! HOW CRAZY AM I.

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I don't think it is too early...I am getting married 3/31/06 & ordered my dress in November...Once I found 'the dress' I knew it was the one...The only thing is, once you order it, you must never look at another dress this way you do not second guess yourself!

Nope. You should start looking so you get an idea of what you want and you can shop around for the best price!

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I found a dress I really liked in a magazine and I went today to go and try it on. Well, I loved it and ordered it. I also thought it was too early but when I had that gown on I just loved it.

no, especially some designers take 8 months to get the dress to the shop.

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I just got mine this week...I'm not getting married until the end of next year...if you want to start looking def go out and do that...at least you get a sense of what styles you prefer over the others...that way when you're ready to make a decsion you;ll not what dresses you don't want to try on

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I ordered mine the first time out as well, but I kinda wish I would have looked more ONLY because I would have liked the experiance of looking more, and I second guess things sometimes but each time i try it on I remember why I liked it.

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
i was told i should look now and my wedding is 8/06, i was going to wait until 8/05 (more time to get in shape) but a wedding dress consultant told me in august they will have winter dresses out not the summer dresses.

Re: Is it to early to look for dresses
I guess its never too early. I am not good at trying on clothes in general so I think Im not rushing to do the dress thing. Im just going to wait for my year mark to come and I'll hit the bridal salons. I always fear that something better would come out especially with styles changing all the time.
