Teachers - looking for lesson ideas for getting students to use 'and I'

My cooperating teacher asked me to work with the kids to use 'and I' in their writing instead of 'Me and so and so.'

I have their grammar book, and i've searched the internet, but I can't seem to find anything to help them remember to use 'and I'

Do any of you have any lessons that have worked? I'm teaching 5th grade right now.

i remember being taught that if you take the other person out of the sentence it still needs to make sense

for example....
'suzie and I went to the store' ....if you take out suzie ...it becomes 'I went to the store'...still makes sense..'I' is right


Does that make semse...sorry imnot good at explaining

No real lesson, but I tell the kids to remember by replacing I or me in the sentence to see if it makes sense. For example they always say me and my friend.

'Me and my friend went to the movies'
Does 'me went to the movies' sound correct?
It should be My friend and I went to the movies b/c you would say I went to the movies.
