Do you send STDs out to everyone on your invite list?

Do you send STDs out to everyone on your invite list?
My parents want to invite some of their friends, friends which I dont even know, so do i send them an STD or just relatives, people who are close to me and OOTers.

I only sent STD's to family and our friends and only b/c it was Thanksgiving weekend.I didn't see the need to send them to any of our parents friends. I guess it also depends on your parents, if they are paying for the wedding, then they may want you to.

We sent them to everyone, but most of the guest list is our friends and family not parents' friends.

We are sending them to everyone. There are a lot of my parent friends on the list and I want them to definitely come because they are all so much fun! So we're sending them to everyone, with the exception of my mother-in-law's friends.

No. We only sent out about 50 - 60 and we invited around 230. We sent them to our closest family and friends and our OOT guests.You never know who you might have to cut from your guestlist towards the end and if you sent them an STD you really can't!

I totally agree with this. I was going to send them out to everyone until I read a post here. The bride sent them out to everyone and then had to cut her original guest list. I ended up sending to family and OOT guests.

I plan on sending them to out of town guests. Everything else will be word of mouth as I have two MOUTHY sisters. Perhaps an email or two along with a wedding website update now and again.

I sent one to everyone, with the exception of about 5 who I don't have addresses for yet.

I sort of agree with this. On one hand, my friend sent them only to OOT and close family and friends, but when certain people didn't get one, they were mad.
On the other hand, I sent them to everyone on the list - to avoid her problem - and then had a heart attack when certain parents tried to add more people to the list after the STDs went out. We ended up saying, if they don't fit in the room, they can't be invited, and you have to pay for your extras, and now, we actually had about 15% say no so far. So, it worked out ok. But it was stressful for awhile - I didn't know how I would cut people who got STDs!

i sent them to everyone i was positive i would definitely want there and evn though i sent them quite some time ahead, plenty of people did not save the date!!

I only sent about 60 of a 160 list, mostly to close friends, girlfriends and OOT guests - I didn't think my FH's single friends would appreciate them. Then, we had a few people who mentioned they didn't get one and were expecting to be invited, so I had to send a couple of extras!
