Silly computer question: How do you keep your guest list organized?
OK, so I am trying to figure out a way to make a master list of my guest list on the computer. Is there an easy way of doing this? I was going to make a word document and make a table, but I want it to be in alphabetical order. Is there a way the computer can automatically alphabetize the list as I enter the names? Should I make an excel sheet instead? Is there a program I should go out and buy? Am I just a spazz?
I would like this master list to eventually be my thank you card list, Christmas card list, etc....Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

I used excel and you can have it put it in alpha order for you. I think that would be easier than word.

I use the guest list manager tool on www.weddingchannel.com. It's very helpful - it helps you organize names, whose guest (yours or your FH), addresses, invites, etc.

Re: Silly computer question: How do you keep your guest list organized?
Excel is pretty easy. Just put the names in the first column, # of adults in second column, # of kids in third, addresses in 4th and any other info in subsequent columns. Then highlight the entire spreadsheet and hit the button that says AtoZ (with an arrow) and it will alphabetize the whole thing for you.

Re: Silly computer question: How do you keep your guest list organized?
I was sort of lazy. I bought this wedding organizer program: iDo 2005. This program organizes your vendors, invitations, budget, guest list, gift tracking, seating charts, etc.But I did that before joining LIW!! Now I see I could've done the same thing here on this site!
Oh well,
