How did everyone find this website? (LIW)

I was just curious. I found this site by chance. I am so happy I did. I was just online one day and started to look for weddings on Long Island. I then came across this site. Glad I did. It's the most useful tool I have. So I give thanks to everyone.

I stumbled upon it as well! I used to frequent the knot, but I've all but abandoned that now. I like this site better

He was doing a search on AOL for certain catering halls and a link came up. Best thing he ever did .....besides proposing of course.

I was doing a search on LI weddings and it came up. I lurked for quite a while before I actually started posting. In 2003 there weren't that many 2006 brides.

by chance...I was looking for some wedding ideas for a frined of mine that just got engaged...I did a search for some wedding locations on theisland and came across LIW...I was a lurker before I got engaged...I didn't want to join...I'm superstitious that way...

If I remember correctly, I actually think I found it from theknot.com, someone one the boards there had mentioned it so I took a look. Now I am addicted, and barely EVER look at the knot.

I gave up on the knot when I joined LIW too. Now I just use it to browse through pics and get ballpark figures for dresses. I was never really fond of their message board.
