OMG!! How can this be??
the house is a Colonial and it's going for only 299,000 and only 2 years old

Its probably a really nice house... surrounded by a bunch of junkers on a crap street.

I saw a lot of these out east. Remember its best to buy the worst house in the best neighborhood... rather than the nicest house on the worst street.

If anyone has more info on it please FM me ok? It's probably 599,000 instead of 299,000

If you go to the listing and then hit 'map property' on the upper right side, it will bring up the location of the house. I'm not familiar with the area, but from the map it looks like just west of Old Town Road and just north of Hawkins Rd. Surrounding streets are Iowa, Nevada and State. And the price is even lower! The taxes are almost $9K though.

i saw this and didnt believe it... looks like an ad to lure you in to get tricked or somthing

taxes are a joke...probally why its selling for less. i see a house in huntingotn that is dirt cheap but the taxes are why too much.

I don't believe it either. Although I GUESS it could be possible if the surrounding houses/area are bad? I agree that you should go for the worst house in the best area rather than vice-versa.

I had to call and check this out for myself! The list price is the 'starting price.' The house is only showed at Open Houses and he will take bids for 6 weeks. They are accepting the highest bid on the house.

Sounds like a bidding war to me!

It is certainly going to go for more than list price, but Selden is not an overly expensive area and it's on a pretty busy road.

Could one reason for selling a house like that be maybe to reduce the agony on the seller's side of wondering if they should accept a current bid or continue waiting (and hoping) for others that might be better.
