What is everyone getting their parents and in-laws for their wedding gifts???

What is everyone getting their parents and in-laws for their wedding gifts???

I was not even aware that you were supposed to get the parents gifts for your wedding, until reading posts on this website. Any suggestions???

Depends upon your budget:

their albums
video of wedding
nice frames for your pics
Broadway tixs and/or dinner at a restaurant
gift certificate to a Bed and Breakfast
Does your mom and Dad have any hobbies? do they collect any particular items?

Hope that helps.

ETA: If my FMIL still insists on having my RD at the local Chinese food restaurant even though 3 of my 6 guests can't eat it then they are only getting the DVD copy of our video.

We brought our parents a parent album, copy of the video and these.

I wrote a poem for each set of parents and created this

and brought my dad this

We made our parents pick a pic out that they liked and we had it made for them to put in the frame and I gave my dad a pic of the two of us to put in the frame.

His parents (who didnt pay for anything or help with anything related to the wedding);

Parent Album
8x10 frame engraved with our name and date
8x10 photo of us to go in frame

My Dad
Parent Album
DVD
8x10 of us
A mahogony music box that plays 'What a WOnderful World' which was our father/daughter dance song
and a hankerchief embroidered with a message on it
plus i paid for his tux rental

My Mom
parent album
DVD
8x10 of us
mini-brag book photo album
Plus I bought her dress and jewelry and paid for her makeup the day of the wedding

All of our parents are getting albums and DVD's (both of our parents are divorced)

Then we got each one a 8x10 picture frame, I don't care what they use it for, but we thought it would be good and fair for everyone.
