How to Clean Candle Wax Off Votive Holders?
If any one knows how to do this, I am sure it is one of you guys!
To make a long story short...I have about 100 votive holders that I used for my engagement party...figured why throw them out...I can use them again for the wedding.
Problem is, I need to get the existing candle out (figured I can wedge it out with a knife), but then I need to clean them...
Anyone know what the best way (if there is one) to do this???
Thanks girls!!!!

To get candles out, I usually put the holder in the freezer for a little while, then it will pop right out with little or no help from a knife. Now, granted, you have 100 of these...do you have a garage? That might be cold enough.
To get the rest out, windex and a paper towel works really well for me. (edited to add, if it's really stubborn, I do this while running it under hot water) Cleans the wax out and makes the holder sparkle!
Geez, I sound like a bad ad! Good luck, I hope that helps you a little!

wedge the rest of the candle out and then put them in the dishwasher- top rack. They will come out sparkly.

Yeah, you have to put them in the freezer. It doesn't take too long either.
