In college I went to a science center with a guy--it was so fun, all those sciencey things to try and play with (building a dam of bricks, etc.). It was good because we had stuff to do--not as much pressure on talking, though I had known him a while. Then we went to a lake and he taught me how to fish. I like dates where you DO stuff, or go somewhere like a zoo where you can talk about what you are seeing, not the usual dinner and a movie.

I agree.

My DH and I doubled with a friend who was going on a blind date...Anyway, we went to a museum to see a specific baseball related exhibit. Fun for all. Something different and lots to discuss. Nice.

MY favorite was...He picked me up and went to the Village...We ate at the cutest italian restuarant and then walked around going into various shops..

I like doing down to earth things. DH and I were not into the club scene. We did the usual dinner thing but we had lots to talk about, since we were in the city and it was a nice day in May we walked around a lot, then went to Bryant park, had ice cream and then walked to central park and went on a horse and carriage ride. We enjoyed walking (although now we've become lazy bums since we got a car...LOL) Then on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on we did museums, zoos, and plays.

My first date with DH - we went to Central Park and walked around, then went on the rowboats!

Keep in mind we were good friends for 2 years already, so we were very comfortable with each other from the start.

If you do not have a fear of flying, you can fly around manhattan. At republic airport, there are introductory flights that cost around $49-$70. It all depends where you go. I only know this because DH instructs there at the airport. The manhattan skyline is so beautiful! The pilot will let you take controls if you like. Who knows, maybe after the flight you may want to take up flying as a hobby.

We got introduced by a friend and before we met we talked on the phone for 3 hours almost everyday. I remember thinking what the heck is there left to talk about on our date...LOL

But we found more things to talk about. I don't want to scare anyone off who is not married but now it's different. I'm not saying that we don't talk anymore we do but we are more busier now than ever. LOL

One guy took me to the US Open on a first date, I was very impressed

And I know the weather isn't very good for this, but there's always a picnic in the park

DH and I went to the park after it snowed one day and it was soooooo much fun!!!! It's actually one of my most memorable weekends with him ever. We made snow angels and had snowball fights and when we got to the middle of the park, the Parks Commission had set up a 'Snow Day' where they had sledding and stuff. It was so much fun. Then we went to a few cozy pubs later that night, jsut the two of us.

Well we met on match.com so I wanted to meet in a very public place. We met at Dave N Busters, drank, played some games, played pool and then they closed and kicked us out so we went to a diner and ate and then finally went home... We both did not want to leave!!!

We went to Jillians and it was fun (with my DH). We had a great time. I knew that there are so many fun things to do there that no matter what, I would have a good time. I enjoyed talking to him a lot too.
