Repost from '06 board OOT guests and hotel info??

I know i have some time for this but I figured i would ask you girls...

Do you send the hotel info with the Save the Dates or with the real invitation??

I didn't send out save the dates, but either way I would sent them out with the invitations. They may lost the hotel info if you sent it out too early. I'm also getting married at WM and I'm using wingate. Very nice place and great people there. I'll be sending out my hotel info with my invitations.

Do you have a cut off date for the hotel rates? Sometimes you can negotiate a lower rate if the deadline for that rate is say 2 months before the wedding. In this case, you should include it in the STD.

Since most of my guests will be coming in from the West coast, I am including accomodations info in my STDs that I'm sending out about 7 months out.

With our save the dates, we included our website address which had all the accomodations info. We figured that the $70 we spent for the website would still save us $$$ compared to the cost of including an 'accomodations card' with the invite.

Our hotel provided the cards free.

For my OOT guests, they already were notified via email about the date, place and the hotel info. They are all friends and others were notified by phone.

i sent it with STDs because almost 100% of our guests are from OOT-i'm from TX and my family in OH, he's from NJ and we are both military with friends all over, and we live in DC...so in order to let everyone arrange travel as early as possible I sent out STD magnets and brochures with travel and hotel info. also saved me money because i didn't have a lot of parts to my much fancier invitations. i did put our website on a card in the invite though just in case.
