Swan Club Brides or anyone who has been there recently...Cake Question

How was the cake at the Swan Club...I have heard mixed things....more BAD than good.

Just wondering what your experiences were. I am nervous. I have looked around at wedding cakes and they are expensive BUT I don''t want to have something that tastes horrible

Re: Swan Club Brides or anyone who has been there recently...Cake Question

My best friend had her wedding at the Swan Club. I don't remember tasting the cake but she did say that they gave her the wrong cake. I'll try to ask her if she remembers how it tasted. Btw, the Swan Club was beautiful and the reception was great!

Re: Swan Club Brides or anyone who has been there recently...Cake Question

We got married in January, but we're having our reception there in May. When I first joined here, I kept seeing bad things about the Swan Club, but I soon realized that I was just panicking and was ignoring the positives. Every hall is going to have something negative said about it and I realized it's just better to ignore everything and just see how it goes on your day. They probably wouldn't be in business if their cakes were so terrible.

The cake wasnt bad. Its not what I asked for but it didn't taste bad. I asked for a Square cake and I got a freaking pyramid.

Re: Swan Club Brides or anyone who has been there recently...Cake Question

I went to a wedding at the Swan Club in November of last year, and althought I didnt taste the cake, the cake itself was brought out with ZERO decoration on it. I mean, not even one flower. The BM was standng right there and my FH was a groomsman, and my FH said, wheres the decoration?? The BM said, 'Oh Well, too late now' One of the reasons I didnt even look at SC. But the wedding was great, was just turned off by the cake thing.

Re: Swan Club Brides or anyone who has been there recently...Cake Question

The cake was fine - but I wasn't that concerned about the cake. We got a carrot cake- which was OK, but really tasted more like a spice cake. My DH wanted it, so I said OK, but I would stick with the basic yellow or chocolate. I didn't hear much about the cake in advance, and to me, it wasn't worth spending extra $ on the cake if I was getting one included. They also give you an extra dessert, so I figured if some people didn't like the cake, they could eat the additional dessert.
