i live in levittown and really like it. i heard the island trees school dist is just fine. my stepsisters are products of that system and all went to college and have great jobs if that helps

I went to Levittown Schools, but the Island Trees schools are supposed to be very good. It's a smaller system than Levittown.

Try going to www.nysed.gov (the State Ed Department site). From there you should be able to access the district's 'report cards' with stats on how well the kids did on state standardized tests. IMO, there is more to a school than that but it is a good yardstick about how good a school/district is.

I live in that SD and my DH went to school there. It is a good school district, and the taxes are lower than Levittown.

DH graduated from island trees HS, and he turned out ok.

Seriously, he says it's a good school district, and would really like to buy a house here.

i graduated from IT and loved it. its a pretty small district although im sure its grown since i was there. great place to be!
