engagement gift?
Need some ideas, I'm invited to a coworkers engagement party in 2 weeks. They aren't having a registry. What do you think is the appropriate gift/monetary amount per person for an engagement gift?

Re: engagement gift?
if you are really close to them i'd say $100, if not $50 is more then enough. or a gift cert to a restaurant.

Re: engagement gift?
$100 would be a good idea - I just went to a friend's eparty in December and gave $100, a personalized xmas ornament w/ their e-date on it, and got my friend a coach wallet from the outlet. It was a little inside joke about how much $$$ she'll be spending in the near future!

Re: engagement gift?
I'd say about $100 for both you and FH. I'd prefer to give cash. That way maybe it could help them pay for the wedding.

Thats a good idea! Or maybe something they can use for the wedding, like toasting flutes, a cake topper, or cake knife. Or how about a wedding scrapbook?
