What bars/lounges (even restaurants) are HOT in New York City right now??

A friend just told me Asia de Cuba is awesome.

I just wanted to know from people that go to the city often - their recommendations of places to go - for those who don't go that often and want a GREAT night out.

What comes to mind right now:
Club- Marquis.
Celebrity sighting restaurants- Pastis & Balthazar (saw Amber Valletta @ Balthazar- Big Whoop ).

for a drink go to the Gansevoort Hotel in the meat packing district- they have a rooftop bar/lounge area.

Really nice but the drinks are $$$$$

There is also a lounge/bar below the W hotel in Union square which is pretty good. I forget the name..

club/celeb hangout - Butter and Marquis

for a nice quieter evening cocktails at the four seasons is always nice.

40/40 club is also a good time. I saw JayZ there (he owns the place and is always there...)

It is small and gets crowded quickly. Drinks again are $$$, but where are they not in the city??

Butter The restaurant is so good and they have a cool lounge downstairs.

I haven't lived in Manhattan for over a year, but the Soho Grand hotel is always nice for a glass of champagne.

I like the Hudson Library Bar. (in Hudson Hotel). They have a great outside garden filled with comfy couches and beds (for real). Very cozy but better suited for warmer weather. It is very pricey too.

Morgans Bar in the Morgans hotel is also good (but pricey). I believe it is on 37th street.

DH and I go to the Divine Bar whenever we go into manhattan. It's a lounge type place. Very cool place. I don't know if it's considered hot right now, but I love it.
