Let's talk Registry for a moment

Like many others here, I am a constant peeker! I have gotten hints from guests I invited to my Bridal Shower that it is in May and they have already received the invitations. Well, I have noticed 3 things have been bought off my registry since.

But, NONE of my china has been bought

Is China something family usually buys? Or what? I picked 'cheap' china with the hopes of getting all of it, but why isn't anyone buying it just yet? Guess I am being impatient?

I'm going through the same thing with my everyday pattern...none are missing! It's still early though, so I would just give it time...there is still plenty of time for your guests to shop. (I should learn to take my own advice though!)

Yeah, you're right. My wedding is still 6 months away. But I HATE not knowing!!

I dont' think there's a rule of thumb when it comes to China. In my family, the closer relatives tend to buy more of the expensive items (silver, china, crystal) but I've bought china for friends. I wouldn't worry about not having any purchased far in advance. I'd say most people probably buy closer to the event because that's when people realize the shower is only X days away, so they get up, go to the store and bring it home with them.
