Went to Majestic Gardens today!! Cant decide now between CLM and MJ!!! HELP ME!!!

O.k. They are both on a Satuday day and both are offering the same price and both are in July of this year...

CLM - I loved Nick, view of water is Gorgeous! Threw in the Chocolate Fountain, up to 2 weddings at a time and the dock is ours for the first half of our wedding, then anyone from the other party can use it too. Take us away in a boat after vows by water in gazebo, then bring us back at cocktail hour... Views in both Cocktail room and Reception room...

MJ - Only one wedding at a time, didnt care for the BM, seemed to be trying to sell the place and kept trying to interest me in extras.. Gardens and Fountains and a beautiful cocktail room overlooking fountain and outside, Reception room, no view - draps closed, skylight....

I dont know what to do...
The view with another party going on upstairs, or the gardens to walk around in with only one wedding.... Ahhhh Im more confused than when I started!

Re-read all of your posts that you made over the past couple of weeks...Notice how CLM is the one place that...well...if we could all see your face...I think when you post about CLM this is you...

I think you're meant to have your wedding there...really!!!

you sound like you like CLM better, i would go for it there. i've been there and the wedding was wonderful

Ive heard very good things about CLM. My brother looked there too, however, booked another hall.
You do sound like you really like it. Go with your gut!

I haven't been to CLM but, I have looked at MJ. No offense to anyone getting married their but, I hated the place. Also the BM that helped us kept looking at mine and my Fmil chest's.
I thought I was imagining things until fmil said it to me after we left.

I would go with CLM, the pictures look pretty and you can't go wrong with being on the water.

I didnt mean to say I like one or the other better... Thats why Im asking all of you LOL

I really couldnt decide... I think the gardens has more places to walk around etc... I like the one wedding at a time.. The ONLY thing I didnt like was the BM.

At CLM - the 2 weddings bothers me a little and I dont think it will be as quiet, but Nick was beyond FABULOUS!

Can I ask a serious question? Are you the poster who lost their money when they cancelled Jericho Terrace because you wanted to do something smaller?

depends on what's more important. We visited both and like Majestic Gardens better - 1 wedding at a time.

I like the water view of CLM but on the drive there we were freaked out by all the cemetaries. When went visited CLM they were building out the area underneath the first floor room to be a chapel I think.

i voted for MG.. but i guess i'm kinda biased.. who did you speak to there?

i've only dealt with the owner and i absolutely love him. great guy.

i had never even heard of the place and when i stepped in i loved it.. we went at night to visit the first time and being in the gardens was still beautiful and the waterfall.. i just love it there. but then again i am kinda biased lol.

Kris, I wanted a desitnation wedding.. all the parents squashed that.... so I wanted a backyard wedding... noone offered so I booked a hall and then they offered the backyard, figured Id save $$ and it would be small and elegant.. then FMIL says she changed her mind - its too much work and gave us $$ towards a hall, so Im kinda back to the drawing board.

I like the JT, it is so elegant but Im worried about so many weddings going on at the same time and it will be summer with the skylights and people cant go outside.. if they do its parking lot...

Id like some sort of outdoor area. So I will lose $1,000 if I dont go with them, but other places are lowering their prices and throwing things in... so .... Im having trouble deciding but need to get on it asap!

We really liked JT too and FI hit it off with Mike Closs. However, the no outdoor cocktail or ceremony space bothered me and the 2 - 3 events at a time bothered FI. They are putting in a gazebo area but only for pictures not cocktails or ceremony space. So are still looking.

One thing that I am constantly reminded of though, even if we pick a place with a great outdoor space, if it rains everything will be inside.

Make sure you like the inside ceremony and cocktail area if they place you pick typically does the ceremony & cocktail hour outside.

I have never been to either one of the two halls, but just based on the info you've provided I would choose Majestic Gardens mainly because of the 1 wedding at a time and the grounds. It sounds like you can't go wrong with either one.

well to me it sounds like youve already fallen in love with CLM, however, you seem to be a little weary of the more than one wedding at a time thing. If it isnt that big of a deal then why wouldnt you would still be having your wedding at JT? It sounds like Majestic was just okay to you, almost like you didnt like it. If I were you maybe check out a few more places and see whatelse is around?

Honestly - there are things I like and dont like about them all.... Im bad at making decisions.

Well I wouldnt rush into making any decisions, just make sure where ever you do choose to have your wedding, that you are in love with it.:) You are going to be spending a lot of money for the place 'just to be okay.' Best of luck

I taled to FH and he said if you didnt get a good vibe from the BM we shouldnt go there.. What do you think?
