Large breed dog owners - Harnesses

The harness I have for walking Casey is NOT strong enough...I feel like it's going to snap any minute. I just ordered a step in nylon one online and I hope it's strong enough.

What kind do you have?

Re: Large breed dog owners - Harnesses

I just ordered a Sensible harness from www.softouchconcepts.com. It's a front clip harness and is supposed to help with pulling.

Nooooooo...she is 60lbs now and drags me down the street if I only have the leash clipped to the collar. Plus she chokes herself. I have a harness now and it makes a HUGE difference with walking, she doesn't pull too much and she is not choking. But I feel like it is not strong enough because occassionally she will pull if she sees another dog or something and i feel it straining. I am terrified it will break and she will take off!
