Friday vs. Saturday?
In weddings that you have been to. .Do you prefer Friday or Saturday? Are people going to be tired from work on Friday and wont most of them have to take off especially if they have to travel?

Re: Friday vs. Saturday?
I prefer Sat. I think most people do, especially if they work. I also think you'll have a better turn out at the ceremony if it is not a Fri.

Ditto! Id prefer a Saturday. For me personally if its a Friday I would still go to the wedding but I would have to leave work early, worry about traffic and have less time to get ready.

Re: Friday vs. Saturday?
Friday is cheaper and I think regardless of when you have a wedding, people will party even if they just got out of work!!

Re: Friday vs. Saturday?
I definately find that saturday weddings are more convient for most. I know I have done a bit of complaining when my friends and family wed on a friday because of work and rushing around to get there. A bunch of people are resporting to fridays becuse of the $$. My FH and I are paying for our wedding and would have loved to cut cost by doing a friday- but we are paying a bit more for the convience of our guests.

Re: Friday vs. Saturday?
I've only been to one Friday wedding and although it was an inconvenience to take the day off from work, it was nice to have a 3-day weekend. saturday is the easiest cause most people have off on the weekends. We chose a Sunday due to cost and his mother (she had a fit because Saturday is the Sabath in the Jewish faith - even tho we arent having a religious ceremony).

Re: Friday vs. Saturday?
I had my wedding on a Friday. We did this not because it was cheaper (it was the same price), but because we were having a small wedding The minimum for Sat. was 100 where as Friday was 70. We only invited 75ppl. so it seemed silly to have a Sat wedding and invite more people then we wanted at our wedding. We did choose a holiday weekend for our OOT guests. Most of our in town guests work nights. No time in the evening would be convenient, but they all came and had a great time.

Re: Friday vs. Saturday?
I like a Saturday, but if I love you and want to be at your wedding, I will party and have a good time, no matter when you have it!!

I agree with this on all points. But those who love you will be there whether it's a Friday, Saturday or Tuesday. I'm having a Friday wedding for financial reasons and the only suggestions I've had is to let people know in advance so that they can take the day off from work because it precedes a major holiday. Otherwise, everyone's excited.
