need to plan a baby shower for mys sister.. no idea

where to have it?? I want to stay in the vicinity of Long Beach- she'll be in her 8th month in July and very uncomfortable.. i have to keep the price down since i am also part of a bridal shower the following month- my cousins...

any suggestions????

and.. this may be a silly question but i have never thrown a baby shower before... do you serve liquor there- obviously not for the sis but for the guests like beer/wine.... itlll be a sat or sunday afternoon...

Is there anyone with a home large enough to host? That would be very comfortable, and would likely help keep costs under control.

Not sure where out there, but most of the baby showers I've been to they've served alcoholic & non-alcoholic punches. HTH!

Alcohol probably isn't necessary. Many places serve a nice champagne punch at baby showers.

Re: need to plan a baby shower for mys sister.. no idea

I had my engagement party at Vito's, my wedding shower at Chesapeake, and my baby shower at Corbin & Reynolds.. all in LB.
All of the places are really nice and had amazing food.
I believe Chesapeake was the most reasonably priced.
For my baby shower, which was in the afternoon, we had beer and wine included...

ETA - I was surprised, even though there was beer and wine, guests were ordering mixed drinks.
