So I brought my invites to the PO yesterday morning to get hand cancelled...
and ours (I sent one to ourselves since it's the last time I'll be a 'Miss') came in the mail today!
OMG - that is so fast! I wonder how many of our guests got them already...I'm officially nervous!AND we went to Wrap With Us and decided against the bottle stopper or the wine charms, so at least the favor is set - a full size bottle of Pugliese...nothing more.
I can't believe I'll be married in 68 days...it's finally hitting me hard!

You have no idea how hard it hits you once the invites are out...I was at 200 'yesterday'...trust me, it flies by. Do as much as you can now so you won't be going nuts later...

Thanks! I see you're getting married exactly 3 months after me...how exciting!
Hand cancelling means that they void out the postage stamp (so it doesn't get re-used once it reaches its destination) by hand using a red stamp instead of by running it through the machine. In order to hand cancel, ask your PO if they offer the service. Not all of them do, not all of them do for free and not all of them do it for you...so basically, it's best to call and find out before you trek out there with your invites. I called the 800 number on the USPS.com site and asked for the number to the PO closest to my job and asked them since the 800 people are clueless.
The purpose of hand cancelling (and not running it through the machine) is so that your invite envelopes won't tear...mine are embossed and my invites have a bow so the envelope is raised a bit, running it through the machine would have surely torn the envelope.

I KNOW! It feels like just yesterday I had 8 months and was obssesing over vendors...the obsessions shift to other things, but the time DOES fly...I have to remember to breathe a lot...gottal love LP for that!
Once you're under 100 days (which you're almost there!) it flies by!

I have 41 days!!! I can't believe it. Everything is falling into place....I would never of guessed it would. We have been engaged since Christmas 2003 and I can't believe it is so close.
