AAAGH...stretch marks!

Got my first stretch marks (hopefully my last).
And its on my left boob!!!!!! What the $#%@.

Sorry if TMI but I was religious about cocoa butter on my belly...never thought to fully loob up! (if it actually helps...who knows!)

Please tell me they will go away...lie if you have to

I was seriously going to make a post about this today. I have the most awful stretch marks imaginable. I had already had some on my thighs prior to pregnancy because of rapid weight gain and now they're just everywhere. I started using the cocoa butter and it seems to be helping a bit, but I'm extremely fearful that they'll always be there. If they continue to get worse, I'm going to look into laser removal after the pregnancy. They make me very self conscious

Sry they don't I have been putting vitamin E directly on mine since it did so well for me on my scar!

Its genetics...not much you can do to prevent them unfortunately.

It does seem like there's not much we can do to prevent them...but I can tell you I have them on my chest and thighs from my adolescent growth spurt and you can barely see them anymore. I have been applying the cocoa butter like there's no tomorrow as well and so far so good - but they definitely do fade over time...and I'm not just saying that!

I thought that I had one the other day and then I freaked out...putting cocoa better all over me....until I realized that it was just my stupid pants that had made an indentation in my stomach that 'looked' like a stretch mark.

approximately when do they show up- if they are going to. im 27 weeks at they havent shown up yet ...

I think it varies, depending on how much you grow. Some people are lucky and never get them. I'm 22 weeks and I have them, but I had them prior to pregnancy.

I took stock in Palmers Stetch Mark Cocoa Butter Cream the DAY I found out I was PG. My mother never got them, but I have a few from when I was a chubby teenager and then dropped it all. So, I figure it can't hurt to TRY to prevent them. I slather EVERY DAY!

My doctor told me that it's genetics and it's each person's skin. She said some people are just more likely to get them. I put on this massage oil every day and then somewhere around my 6th month the stech marks just kept coming. My daughter is 5 months old and they haven't started to fade yet.

For those of you that use Palmers...do you use the cream or the lotion? I currenlty use the cream 2x a day....lotion is a bit cheaper though.

I use the cream but also the massage oil is really good. It smells nice and feels really good on your skin and makes your skin very soft.

I slathered on cocoa butter all the time with my son and I did great till the last couple weeks and I got a few just on my lower stomach - It's just one of those things I don't think we can prevent
