Newlyweds, I need your help! Have any of you had ALL of your guests RSVP YES?

I am freaking out. My guest list is 260 and I really am hoping for no more than 215.

Here's the catch:

Our wedding is upstate, and I sent out STDs and a LOT of people have made reservations!!! Some who my FMIL said won't come have booked rooms! Our idea to have it upstate so people won't come is backfiring!

I am starting to freak out, and I still have 6 months to go! The only thing I have on my side is that my brother is getting married next month, so I can see who comes to his wedding.

What was your average # of RSVPs?

I will go nouts if everyone shows!

It's still a little too early to tell. Right after we sent out our STDs, a ton of people called or e-mailed to say they would be there...but when it came time for the real RSVP, a lot of those same people said no.

But really, even if they all DO say yes in the end, what can you do?? Consider yourself blessed to know so many people who want to share your day!

i wouldn't freak out just yet...
Usually the no's come last...
So i wouldn't judge by the early responses of the STDs

I'm pretty sure that no one in the entire history of LIW has ever had EVERYONE show up for their wedding.

Of my 120 guests, 117 came. So we had almost everyone come.

But the no's definitely come later...no one says no right away.

I think with a larger guest list you are bound to have more no's.

We invited 225 and had only 160 come. The no's came at the end or those were the people we had to call!

I freaked out too. All the replies I received at first were yes and for the occasional no, DH added someone. You'll be surprised at how many nos come later.

We invited 175 and had 150

we invited 162 and had 125 people at the wedding.

ALL the No's come last.. and ALL my yes's came 1st. Don't freak out they say at least 15 to 25% say No.. and it was true for everyone i know.

I agree that the No's do come at the end. I have never heard of everyone having all invited guests come, so don't worry about that. For us, most of our guests were out of state and we had 20% not come. From my friends' experiences the smallest No % I've heard of is 10%. So you should have at least 26 people say no if not more. that does seem like a rare thing - where everyone you invite all end up attending! We invited over 200 and only had 95 on our wedding day! Mostly due to all of my family being out of state and half didn't come bc it was too far to travel.... BUT we did get many of our no's towards the end - I remember the first weekend after we sent out the invites - I opened SIX yes RSVPs and remembered thinking the same thing as you are now :) It tends to even out more towards the end - you will be fine!
