GIRLS----I need advice

this may sound stupid. lol
but i am having a really hard time deciding on if i should get chair covers or not.. my hall does not have them so i would have to get them on my own.

do people really notice the chair covers?
if it worth the extra money?

i can not make a decision for my life so i need opinions.

pros and cons pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

in my opinion, it is not a necessity to have them...Yes they do look elegant but most people to not remember whether or not you had chair covers...Especially considering your hall does not provide them, I would not spend the extra $$ for them...Put that $$ towards something else in your wedding...

I have heard that some chair covers are uncomfortable...What do the chairs in your hall look like??

Looking back on all the weddings I've been to I can't remember if they had chair covers or not. That being said, if I can't remember, than I don't think it is a necessary expense.

Although one of the halls I am looking at I feel is too busy color wise and might just go with the chair covers to mellow out the room a bit if we decide to choose to have our reception there.

It's truly a personal choice.

IMO, I wouldnt. I know they are fairly costly.
I wont be using them since WCC had gotten new chairs and look nice & dont need the covers. Lucky for me!
It all depends on how the chairs look.

I would at Chateu Briand. I almost booked there. I saw the upstairs room (da vinci) and it looked SO nice with it. But I really love that look!

Honestly, I like them with them on. But it's a personal decision for you and it's really up to you.

At the end of the day (next year, one day to go!) no one will care.

I'm having it because I got it thrown in. One of the reasons that I didn't go with Jericho Terrace was because they wouldn't throw that in.

What do you want to do?

I will be honest, since being engaged, I notice the little things. FH's brother was married in the DiVinci room in May 2004 (before I was engaged) and I do beleive they had chair covers. Do they make a difference? Yes, depending on the feel you want in the room.

When I was looking at halls, I fell in love with a room t Leonard's that had white marble floors and white walls and the room was set up with white linens and chair covers. I loved that look b/c it was like a blank canvas that I any color could go in!

I am getting chair covers b/c I do not like the floral pattern on the chairs in my room (Dome Room at Jericho Terrace).

I think if it's important to you, get them. If it really makes no difference and the chairs look good as they are (which they do!), then forgo the chair covers and spend the $ elsewhere that may be more important to you.

I was thinking about doing it, but FH said it wasn't worth the money (about $5 a chair!). If we had the extra cash, we would have done it, but we're trying to cut costs, not add to them!!

Of all things, FH wants chair covers. He had gone to a function at a hall (that is a vendor here actually), called me from the party to tell me that the chairs were filthy and that chair covers were nicer. I told him they were rented per piece and since we havent chosen our venue, we will have to wait and see if we need them at all.

If those are the chairs for ur room, I think they are fine the way they are. They look like the ones I am using except my chairs are in a gold tone.

I honestly love the way chair covers look. If you have extra money then do it. But who has extra money when planning a wedding. Everything is so expensive. I was also thinking of getting them but I'm already adding extra money for my Viennese hr. So, if you have money to spare then do it if not spend it on something else.

We are getting them only because the hall is giving them to us for free. In all honesty,They look pretty, but I would not pay for them, its not worth the extra $6 or whatever it is a person. Put that money towards something else.

I don't think it's necessary but I've always loved the way it makes the room look..so we are paying extra for them.
