Re: Christmas/Holiday Themed Wedding ideas......

I wish I could find the link for you, there was a thread started a little bit ago for winter brides and people are really doing a lot of neat things.

For me, I am doing a xmas/ winter holiday theme. let's see from the start, the colors are red and gold.
The picture is a pic of my placecard holders which are going to be sitting in a bed of snow.
Then in a basket or stocking, they are going to be my out town baskets with the normal things plus hot chocolate, candy cane's etc.
My hall is already decorating for xmas like crazy already.
Cocktail hour is going to have nice xmas music playing in the background
Favors are going to be ornaments
Red roses

The other pics are ideas I have, plus my bouquet, my cocktail hour centerpiece, etc. etc.
Um...I think thats it but I want to think there was a lot more.....

Re: Christmas/Holiday Themed Wedding ideas......

Its funny because I bought the candle christmas balls as my favors from Oriental Trading. I can not decide if they are to small to give as favors or not. I was going to put them in a clear box and decorate it but I was afraid they may look cheesey....

Re: Christmas/Holiday Themed Wedding ideas......

I am doing a Christmas themed wedding also...My centerpieces are the lenox picture below...My church pew bows will have Christmas greens attached to them...Instead of guests throwing rice or rose petals, I am going to make jingle bells on a ribbon that they will ring for us as we exit the church which symbolizes good fortune...My cake will have the same pattern on it as my Lenox centerpiece...The hall will be decorated for Christmas...My bridesmaids are carrying all red roses...The DJ will play some Christmas music during dinner.

Yea i bought the ornament/candle things from oriental trading too...we really wanted to give ornaments as favors b/c our wedding the day after thanksgiving...the beginning of the christmas season. I thought they were a little too small to give...but we're still deciding.

Re: Christmas/Holiday Themed Wedding ideas......

I had somewhat of a x-mas theme. My bouquet was red and white roses with ivy and berries - the girls were all white with the berries. The berries made it x-mas looking. (the girls wore red dresses) My centerpieces were mirrors with different height white candles and berries and x-mas green around it. My cake had red ribbon around each layer with a bow in the front.....i'll try to post some pics later.

Oh...and for favors, we had a x-mas tree in the corner of the room decorated with ornaments. Guests were told to take 1 and there was a basket next to the tree with gift bags.

Re: Christmas/Holiday Themed Wedding ideas......

I love the Christmas tree idea....Who Is going to be setting it up for you?

My girls are wearing Euro Red by Bill Levkoff and carrying ivory flowers with hollyberry...I am carrying black magic roses with crystals...I want my centerpieces to be christmas wreaths with different size pillar candles in the center. I also saw a cake that looked like stacked presents but I thought that may start making it look like a christmas party.

I was also thinking of hiring christmas carolers for either the cocktail hour or dinner time.....

Re: Christmas/Holiday Themed Wedding ideas......

Where did you get those palcecard holders? I SO want them.

I'm going to have a tree on either side of the ballroom door with ornaments on it...mostly snowflakes I think and some dreidles since it will also be hanukkah. i LOVE the christmas stocking OOT basket idea. That's awesome. i think I'm going to do that, and also include some hanukkah gelt and something hannukah-ey
