Repost from BHB...Beer and Wine for E-party or no liquor at all?

Ok so i'm debating whether i should have beer and wine or no liquor at all for my e-party? What did you girls do or are going to do for your e-part? Or what should i do? Its so expensive to have an open bar.

Oh yeah the party is from 2:30-7:30

We did a keg and wine. No liquor.

It worked out well.

But then again, we made SANGRIA and we had to send out for MORE base wine because it flew out of the container!

We're having ours at a hall (French-American club). We are offering soda and juice, but it's a cash bar. We are going to have a signature drink to go with our tropical theme. If we were having a back yard thing, I would supply beer, mabye wine or an alcoholic punch. It's too much money to have open bar or beer/wine at the hall. I'd rather save the money for the wedding.

We are having a Sunday Lunch for 12 to 4 so we are doing a Champagne toast then a tab with beer and wine - I think that you do what you can - if someone wants a drink that bad they can buy themselves a drink - its a celebration & to help the couple along its not to make you go broke
