Repost from the '05 board: HELP! Is this invite wording ok?

Because you have shared in our lives
by your friendship and love, we
Bride's name
and
Groom's name
together with our parents
invite you to share
the beginning of our new life together
when we exchange marriage vows
Sunday, The Sixth of November, Two Thousand and five
at four thirty in the afternoon
Hall name
Hall street address
Hall city and state

Reception immediately following ceremony

-----------------------------------------
question #1: is the day, date and year right? is there another way to say it which looks better?

Question #2: since we will be getting married at the hall, I am not sure if I should say 'Reception immediately following ceremony' or if that just goes without saying.

Any feedback from you ladies would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Repost from the '05 board: HELP! Is this invite wording ok?

This was what I wrote...the year should be all lower case (according to the million and one sites I visited) hope it helps!

Once upon a time the stars in the heavens crossed
and so we met…
Together with our parents
Share our day of romantic celebration as we
Sasha Last Name
and
FH Last Name
will exchange solemn vows of love
on Friday, the twenty-seventh of May
two thousand and five
at half past two in the afternoon
Name of Church
Street Address of Church
City and State of Church
Come celebrate the union
of our lives and our families.

This is what the actual invite looked like (it was printed in spanish and english on a vertical french fold).

Re: Repost from the '05 board: HELP! Is this invite wording ok?

I am so sorry, I did not see question #2. Yes, it is wise to write 'Reception immediately following ceremony' or 'Reception to follow' that way it's all on the invite and you save on a reception card.

www.verseit.com has lots of invite wordings and they word them all like that when the reception is at the ceremony site.

Girl, you are WAY ahead of the game!
