Re: NWR..Eggs and Good Friday??

I am Catholic and I also did not eat meat during lent on Fridays. I didn't eat meat Thursday Friday and not until after 12:00 pm on Saturday. Now to answer your question I never heard of eggs being considered meat. Unless you are a vegetarian.

Guess I'm going to hell cause I ate meat this morning and on Thursday, just not on any Friday during Lent and not on Ash Wednesday.

Don't worry my FI ate meat every Friday including Good Friday (which I was NOT happy about) and I told him so

My FI does too, but he's not Catholic so he says he does it for me since I can't eat it and he can. Men!

Re: NWR..Eggs and Good Friday??

Eggs are NOT meat. Even in kashrut laws they are considered parve.

One of our classic good friday dishes is a spaghetti pie that has eggs and cheese in it

Re: NWR..Eggs and Good Friday??

If you're going by kosher laws, eggs are neither meat, nor dairy...weird, right?
