birth control pill question????

i am going to start taking ovcon 35 birth control pills for the first time this sunday. does anyone know how long it takes to take effect??? thanks everyone

I took those -

my MD said to use condoms with them for the first month, but she could've just been overly cautious.

I did not like Ovcon at all.

With all bcp's you have to wait a full month (cycle) in order for them to 'protect' you. But you *are* protected if you switch brands or strength of pills after your 'off' week.

actually it about percentage..... if you start the same day as your period started it's effective right away. sunday start it take two weeks..... a month is just being careful.....
