I have silk wraps also, and usually get french, I use LimoScene and Sugar Daddy and then the white for the line.. The two colors make a really nice light light pale pink..

Dont ya just love nail polish colors!?

How long are your nails? I like to keep my nails really short, just a little above my fingertip....but my manicure chips so quickly!

I have silk wraps so they grow really fast and I only have to go and get them done every 2 weeks..unless they look crappy after a week or if I am going somewhere

Re: Wedding Day Nails....has anyone thought about this yet??

I LOVE nails!!! I LOVE getting my nails done. I will be getting a french for my wedding. I may put a silver line separating the white on my tip since my girls will be wearing silver. I have to try it out first to see if I like it.

Re: Wedding Day Nails....has anyone thought about this yet??

Sarahbell, What i've learned is that my nail polish lasts about 4 days with just a regular manicure. My sister said some places do an Acrylic coat, it is just a layer of acrylic over your own nails (costs about 25 dollars) I have yet to try it..but the other thing that works is to buy the clear polish that they use at the salon and polish them every day! They will last you a week as opposed to 4 days..... plus wear plastic gloves when you wash dishes!!!

Re: Wedding Day Nails....has anyone thought about this yet??

I go back and fourth with having my silk wraps on and then taking them off...I usually keep them on for months at a time though. Right now I dont have them on. And I have been contemplating NOT having them on the wedding day. Dependso n how my natural nails begin to grow...but if I get my wraps put back on then I will get permanent french. It looks great adn wont chip so you dont have to worry about them on the honey moon....FABULOUS!

I use 'french' for my french manicure. it's very light peach, but it has a little bir of sparkle/shimmer to it.

I am actually getting the 'permanent french' done for the wedding...I currently have silk wraps over my names...I have had the regular french & i usually go with a more white on white....I just don't want it to chip while on the HM...I am actually going to get my nails done as a trial with the permanent french this week

Hi! I always get my nails done and they're wrecked a few days later, it's hopeless. I've been looking into doing silk wraps or the permanent french. What is the difference between the two? Which is easier to maintain?

TIA!

I was told by my girl that it is technically the same...With ther permanent french you go for a fill every 2 weeks..You can paint a color over your nails if you do not want the french for a week...Now with the silk wraps most people go every two weeks...I go every week for a glue & they seem to hold up better!

So, they still put something like a wrap on your nail, right?

I wouldn't get tips if you're going on a honeymoon; they usually don't last that long. Go for the silk wraps...they last a while!
