Your opinions on asking bridal party
Hey Ladies,I found a website that makes custom fortune cookies so I thought I would have them make ones that read 'Will you be my bridesmaid?'
Originally I thought i would have them all come over my place, order chinese food, and strategically replace the restaurant's ones with my cookies. However, now I'm thinking they'll know something is up right away once they all see each other. Should I ask individually on different occasions?

Re: Your opinions on asking bridal party
That's such a cool idea! You really think they will guess right away? Well, they probably won't say anything and it might be fun to anticipate what's coming!

Re: Your opinions on asking bridal party
Very cute idea. I asked each of my BM's separately, because I really had specific reasons for picking each of them, and I didn't want the meaning to get lost had I done it in a group setting. For me, that worked best. But I love the idea of asking them in a group - mine would have known something was up if I had them all together.

Re: Your opinions on asking bridal party
I made my own cards and put this really good poem inside. ( I crafted the cards w/stuff from Michaels)I will post tomorrow since I am not at home.
Here are a few different ones:
To my Bridesmaid
Your friendship is a gift from God.
Today I count my blessings as a joyful bride
for I am truly thankful to have you by my side.
Because there are so many ways that you show you care
and just as many special times together we have shared.
Your laughter, tears and thoughtfulness make it so easy to see,
your friendship is one of the greatest gifts God has given me
To my Bridesmaid,, and special friend
You've shared with me the special times, our friendship grows each day;
we've shared our secrets and our dreams, and laughed along the way.
And now at this most special time as my marriage and new life begin;
I'm glad to have you by my side, and thankful to have you as my friend.
To my Bridesmaid, my friend...
I'll always fondly remember the special times we've shared.
You've laughed with me, you've cried with me, and always shown you care.
So at this very special time, the day I am a bride,
I thank you for your friendship and for standing by my side.
The Poem I used:
The day, the dress
The bride, the groom
The joy, the tears
Will all come too soon
Professing true love
To my husband-to-be
With family and friends
All watching me
Because to me you mean so much
I have one thing to say which I will phrase as such:
Nothing would give me more joy and pride,
Than to have you up there right by my side
You've stood right beside me throughout thick and thin,
And I want you to be there when I marry him.
Many great memories I have shared with your smile,
So I want you meet me at the end of the aisle.
??, will you be my
BRIDESMAID?

Ofcourse theyre going to know but who cares. It builds the anticipation and it'll be a good excuse to get all the girls together for food and drink and fun.I say, go w/ your original idea. Its sweet and unique

Re: Your opinions on asking bridal party
I asked each of my girls individually (or in pairs). My BP is huge, but I do have a little something extra for them the day of our Eparty. Wish I could be more specific, but Conigs25 is one of my beautiful BMs!!
I'm sure your girls have a feeling they're going to be asked. Your idea sounds super cute - go for it!

I think that is a really cute idea!!! If they know who cares...it's the thought that really counts!!! Just say you want to have a girls night in...hanging out and stuff...I think that they will really enjoy it!!!I got them a card so far and this weekend I am going to find cute pics of me and each one of my BM's...put that in the card and give it to each one of them....

Re: Your opinions on asking bridal party
that's a really cute idea. my groups of friends and my sisters don't officially ask, we bascially just tell each other that we'd like one another to be in it! quick and simple.

I think that's an awesome idea. They might know, but I think they'll appreciate the effort you put in to asking them in a special way.

Re: Your opinions on asking bridal party
I think that is a great idea, I would get them there by saying you are having a dinner party adn then serving them the fortune cookie for dessert and have them all read it.Hey I think I may have to steal that idea!
