Re: For those of you that did chair rail in the nursery...
Are we totally on the same page??? I'm doing one too!!! I have a DIY print out from the internet that says if you don't have any other chair rails in the house, then to put it at 32' from the floor. I was gonna do that height, but I've decided to do one 12-14' from the ceiling instead. I don't know what it's called then...I guess it wouldn't be a chair rail... I have cream colored walls so I'll leave that at the top, then do the white rail and then a light green. My problem is which light green to choose. I want a sage color but I'm terrible at judging....What colors are you doing?

Re: For those of you that did chair rail in the nursery...
Totally the same page! I'm MOST LIKELY doing Livable Green from SW on the bottom and I've yet to pick the top color but I think it's going to be a very creamy pale buttery yellow color. The carpet is going to be Cream so I want the cream on the walls to be a little more of a color. BUT I'm wondering about the chair rail because I want to know how it will look against the furniture. Like where it lays on the wall in relation to the top of the crib, etc...Which bedding did you choose? I got the dream w/ me by Glenna Jean...

Re: For those of you that did chair rail in the nursery...
We have almost the same room!!! I'm getting Green Acres by Glenna Jean. And I have a cream carpet in there too! LOL! Too funny. I almost chose the Dream With MeWhat color is your furniture? Where did you decide to buy? My DH was a pain in the you know what when we went shopping! First he wasn't interested in going...then he had the pickiest opinions...but we finally decided on a set in Honey colored wood. It's a convertible crib although we already have a bedroom set for the room when the baby gets older.
PS Do a search on Nursery's on Parenting and I think its Niecey that has the chair rail in the colors you like. It looks beautiful!!!

Re: For those of you that did chair rail in the nursery...
We are almost done with the nursery and we also did a chair rail with sage green paint. We called the furniture place (since we don't have it delivered yet) and asked how high the side rail of the crib was. We put the chair rail about an inch higher than that. I'm going to put Wallies on top of the chair rail and I wanted them low enough for the baby to see. We also did a crown molding. I'll try to post pics soon as we're almost done.

I'm ordering the crib from BBB this weekend...I got a 20% off coupon!! YAY!! I plan on doing the nursery sometime in May/beginning of June. I was told the furniture would take 8-14 weeks so I'm ordering now since I only have 18 weeks left! Take pictures of yours too!

Thanks!! I posted my yellow color (pale Straw - BM) on that thread but not he green because I can't for the life of me remember the green color.
I did my chair rail to go right under the window sill - DH ripped off the molding under the window and replaced it with the chair rail - may not be the right height but it is what we did.

Beautiful Nicey!! Thanks for the pics! Our windows are much bigger than normal so I don't think I could do the same as you. But the yellow is gorgeous! I'll have to check it out

Re: For those of you that did chair rail in the nursery...
Thanks everyone! It looks like hubby matched it to be at the same height as the middle hinge on the door (I know, very scientific calculations, right? ). The room was very small so we had to make the best of it. The only other room we had available has a door leading to the front deck. A big no-no for baby

Thank you! Good thing is BM makes those samples and this color is one that they do sell in sample.
