I hate eggs. Someone suggested cottage cheese to me.I usually just have those Atkins shakes. They're not bad (the strawberry is really yummy) and you can get a 4 pack in Walgreens or Target, places like that.
I also sometimes have a small ham steak, but sometimes that's too much meat over the course of a day.

If you have some time in the morning, you can make faux pancakes. My trainer gave me this recipie, and it's pretty good.1 cup skim ricotta cheese
2 eggs (I use Egg Beaters)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 packet of Splenda
dash cinnamon/nutmeg
Blend together until smooth. Head pan until very hot and pour out batter and flip.
They turn out like crepes. Pretty yummy, and you can adjust the recipie according to taste.

You're not supposed to have cottage cheese for the first few weeks. I know breakfast is tough, you can only eat so many eggs lol. So I started just eating non breakfast foods in the morning, like salads, ham and cheese roll ups, chicken what ever!!! As for snacks I eat pork rinds, cracker barrel cheese stix, hard boiled eggs, salad, string cheese.

I didn't do Atkins...you do need carbs to get through the day. Oatmeal is a terrific quality carbohydrate. Cottage Cheese with melon or rice cakes is also an excellent breakfast.Sometimes, if I was running out the door, I would throw some sliced turkey on whole wheat bread and just eat my sandwich while I was walking.

I make grilled cheese w/ low carb bread and it tastes very good. Also a low carb content food is ok in the morning. During induction you are allowed to have 30g of crabs a day. Maybe you can just have your dose of carbs in the morning. You need that carb boost in the morning.

I'm not doing the full-fledged Atkins, just cutting carbs a lot. I HAVE to eat fruits and veggies, or I would die. I can't eat all the high-fat meats and foods either, in my opinion it's just not healthy.
Having thyroid problems makes me have to eat low calorie too.

Curlie...natural carbs are very healthy. So don't stay away from that. Just saty away from the 'white stuff' and I quote Oprah on this.

I did SB they have a recipe for a brakfast quiche It's frozen chopped spinach thawed, egg beaters, chopped onion and low fat cheese. Do a search for SB recipes you'll find it. It does have eggs but you make them inlittle muffin cups and can take them with you
