Mommies - a question!
Hi -I'm not sure I'm going to be able to visit Ali (King) in the hospital because of my schedule the next few days
I'm debating whether or not to send flowers to the hospital?
Was is a pain to drag everything home? Am I better off waiting until she gets home?
Thanks!!

Re: Mommies - a question!
Personally, I had such limited space in my area of the room, I'm glad people waited to bring/send things until after I got home. It's such a nice gesture but you're so overwhelmed in the hospital, the real appreciation for whatever you receive is somehow lost. JMO.

Re: Mommies - a question!
Agreed - the flowers sent to me at the hospital got left behind. When she gets home, send her food.

Re: Mommies - a question!
I'm not a real mommy yet, but in my opinion I would prefer some special things waiting for me at the house instead.. A precooked meal or even meals, a nice welcome home sign for the baby on the house, wreath on the door, some balloons on the mailbox, something personalized. The last thing I want to worry about are flowers tipping over as we are nervously driving home with our new bundle.
But I'm also not a huge flower person, I would personally prefer a plant so that it could grow with the baby
But I think there are lots of other deciding factors... are there other family members who can bring the flowers home.. is the drive not that far.....
(I don't have either of those two things so no flowers are easier!)
How nice are you to ask opinions!

I had a bed by the window so I had a little more room, plus I didnt have a roommate until the night before I went home. My DH brought everything home the night before I was going to leave the hospitalWelcome New Vendors
