NWR - Vacations Suggestions?
Hi Ladies,FI and I want to take a mini vacation this summer since we won't be able to afford a real one...We want to plop on the beach somewhere and just relax from all of our planning for like 3 or 4 days, something that won't break the bank...
We have thought of going to the Hamptons but that may be to close to home? Any other suggestions?

Last summer FH and I spent a long weekend at Cape Cod; it's about a five hour drive with beautiful scenery, nice beaches, fishing and shopping. The resort prices are very reasonable.

Cape May is beautiful - so are alot of the dry towns on the Jersey Shore - Ocean City is close and a really cute boardwalk town.

how about miami, you can definitely get away for that amount of time and you can find very affordable lodging too.

We were in Newport last week and had a great time. Can't wait to go back when it is warm out so we can sit on the beach.

I've always wanted to go to Martha's vineyard. Seems like the kind of place where you can take 3-4 days and it wouldn't be too expensive but still very nice.

Ocean City Maryland! We went last summer and it was really nice. It was such an easy drive and it took us about five hours. They comb the beach everynight with these big machines. It is a family place but, that doesn't bother us in the least.

I've used this site also, you can get great deals for all inclusives! You can also try
www.travelzoo.com
They have really good deals. FH and I went to Cancun last year for $555 each for 5 days, all inclusive!! It was cheaper then if we booked a hotel in the US and ate & drank out every day.

Yeay! Anytime...and the beauty of a square deal is that the price is super low because the location is a mystery, but you're guaranteed a certain level of service (4* or 5*). Have fun!

I was just thinking the same thing!!! We used to vacation a lot in Sea Isle City....close but still feels like a vacation and not pricey!
